You are the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ

1. You are the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ:

No matter who you are and how good you live your life, you are still a sinner. Unless you recognize that you are no better than the homosexuals, liars, drunkards, prostitutes then you cannot appreciate the gift of salvation and the amazing grace of God. The word of God said that all our righteousness is as filthy rags. The truth is we have no righteousness of our own except the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ. We were all born in sin and shaped in iniquity. Yes, we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We will not enter into heaven because of how good we are but because of faith in what Jesus Christ has done. And as a result of that faith we can please God in our thoughts, attitudes behaviours and actions.

Then Jesus explained his meaning: “I tell you the truth, corrupt tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the Kingdom of God before you do. St. Mat. 21:31nlt

And note this: Some who seem least important now will be the greatest then, and some who are the greatest now will be least important then.” St. Luke13:31

I NEED JESUS EVERY DAY HOUR MINUTE AND SECOND. I CAN OF MYSELF DO NOTHING!!!

2. God of Secon Chances:

So you find yourself doing what you thought you would never do again. Be encouraged we all have been there. When we fall we must get right back up again and go to Jehovah’s mercy seat where we will find his grace waiting to cleanse and restore us. The danger is when we stayed there and continue to justified our behavior by our faulty theology that believes we can continue to live in sin because we have Grace. We should pray hard against presumptuous sin it is the kind we know is wrong, feels conviction about, and continues to incorporate it as a part of our lifestyle by silencing our conscience. We thus becomes a slave to sin and once again under its domination. This implies to the world that the power of Jesus Christ is unable to deliver and keep from all sin, without recognizing that God has never taken away or violates our will or our right to choose. Jesus Christ in His birth, death, and resurrection did not die to take away our will He died to take away our sins by giving back to us the power of choice or the will to choose what is right! Like a dog that returns to its vomit Is a fool who repeats his folly. Prov. 26:11

And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life. They prove the truth of this proverb: “A dog returns to its vomit.” And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.” 2 Peter 2:20-22
